following on from my Christmas beer thread, I thought I’d have a crack at a a TC with the remaining ingredients:

This a all or nothing recipe. It will either be a taste sensation or drain cleaner , nothing in between!

I’m pretty sure with some flour and eggs it would make a decent cake !

5l Morrison value AJ split 3 l then 2 in three days
200g dark brown sugar
1/2 cinnamon stick
2 cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 mug black tea( 2 bag)
1/2 star anis
1 tsp yeast nutrients
50g candies mixed peel
1/2 tsp pectolase
Cider yeast

Just need to calculate OG

Nice 21 degrees to pitch at .

I’ll keeep you all posted ......

bottled yesterday, stopped at 1.000 on the nose

surprisingly sweet - id say medium ish.

tastes 'chrismassy' aniseed from the star anis is very prominent, as it is still very green.

i think it has potential …………….

id quite like another member to have a go at replicating / modifying the above and hopfull improving further
