Last weekend I was in the Czech Republic and I had a whole bunch of mead there and it was amazing. From what I've read, Poland has one of the strongest, longest running mead traditions in the world. Do you know of any mead fests in Poland? Maybe you know of some webpages or shops I should check out if I want to explore Polish mead makers? Do you think there will be any mead at Birofilia?

Some of us are mead makers too but i doubt there will be any mead there. ;)

I don't know any dates for 2014, here are few sites to watch for upcoming info:

http://www.grodziec.com/wydarzenia/185- ... tnego.html - Lower Silesia, wine and mead fest, beautiful castle, I was there in 2009
http://festiwalsmaku.pl/ - Pomerania, large local food fest but mead makers attend in significant number
http://swietomiodu.przemkow.npc.pl/ - Lower Silesia, mead fest

http://wino.org.pl/ is page of Wine and Mead Makers society in Poland, and they have forum for mead making too.

Excuse the ignorance, but what is a Lidl Canner? Sounds interesting...

This is mine before and after mods.

The temp probe should probably be higher up, but the hole was already there and the probe fit perfectly, so I just went with it.
