HI there you jolly brewers, I did a geordie lager 2 weeks ago 1st time with lager did wot it said on tin and now been in bottles 4 bout 10 ten days now. the bottles are still soft not pressuring so i tasted sum y day it tastes ok I think but yes it was flat!!!!!!!!!!! I added 1 tsp of sugar b4 racking it but no joy as 2a fizz. has it gone wrong or can i fizz it please??????????????????? :hmm: :drink:
 
I use half a tsp to the pint / 500ml for ales, and the recommendation seems to be to use slightly more for lagers, but even so, I would have thought you should have some fizz after 10 days. Were they kept in the warm for the first few days after bottling?
 
THANX Moley yes they were and still are the temp was 18 19"c and now bout 14 16"c ish ?? :drink:
