Has anyone used one of these to serve supermarket mini kegs in their kegerator/keezer?

I built mine from a couple of parts from Nero, who were very helpful when I ordered the wrong things!
1/4" BSP stainless steel equal T:

Then got a couple of ball posts off of eBay, the ones with a 1/4" threaded base and a corny keg dip tube that I cut to length with a plumber's pipe cutter, that gives a good neat cut with no sharp edges.

Found I had to use a fair bit of PTFE tape to get a good seal on the ball posts, actually sealed better with the John Guest 1/4" male to 3/8" push fit adapters but not so convenient.
If I hadn't already made up a couple of these I would have probably plumped for the adapter I linked to from eBay with appropriate John Guest fittings to get to 3/8" beer and gas line.
