Hi everyone

I am new to brewing. I bought a Chinese water/alcohol distiller kit which you can separate out into the main tank and the vapor and cooling columns. So you don't need to use it to distill. It includes a large 'kettle' / fermentation tank that can sit on the stove.

I made a batch of beer using 4kg barley, 1kg oat flakes, US-05 yeast. It turned out really nice.

Now I have some mead on the go.

I am looking forward to the summer when I will be able to turn all the surplus fruit we get into wine.

Welcome to the obsession. athumb..I'm not allowed to brew or have beer carbonating in the house in the month of december and whilst I do have a shedfull of mostly homebrewed beer I'm looking forward to getting a brew on in early January, that's how addictive this hobby is.
