Newbie in Scotland

Morning all
Name is John and i'm from Greenock, just outside Glasgow!
Been interested in home brewing for years but never had the time or money to do anything about it.
With being furloughed, that has changed slightly!
Hoping my questions later don't sound too daft!

I been to Greenock...is that the place to catch the ferry to Dunoon?

Greenock is just before Gourock, then the ferry to Dunoon! Funny enough, i'm currently in Dunoon as my mother is sheilding so over here running after her!

I liked Dunoon....great fishing for mackerel and Pollack off the shore by the town.. on the old stone jetty I seem to remember...
Is Purdeys tackle shop still open?
