Hi, just trying my first ever brew. Nothing too ambitious, bog standard Young's Bitter. If anything it will have been slightly under the 18/20 degrees, but I have given it 10 days and now the SG seems steady at 1060. Should I keg it now and how much sugar in my Cornelius 40 pints? Cheers, Alan.

If it is at 1006 rather than 1060 then you should be OK to keg it.

If it is at 1060 your hydrometer is broken or you are reading it wrong.

Whichever, it won't do it any harm to leave it in the fermenter for a bit longer if you are unsure.

If you are kegging into a corny you don't need to add any sugar to prime it as you can force carbonate it in the corny. The benefit of this is you will have less sediment in the bottom of the keg, so it will be less likely it will be sucked up the dip tube.
