Does anyone used flaked barley to aid head retention ? I've tried torrified wheat, carapils and oats but they didn't seem to have much impact.

Yes - I added some FB to a black IPA but as it's still in the FV I can't comment on head retention yet

I got the idea from @MyQul and I believe he got it from another forum member (?) - I believe up to 9% FB is the rule of thumb

As matt says, I put FB in most things (I got the idea from Gunge) and I find about 9% gives decent head retention
