Open Pouch

Hello everyone,

I was gifted a Young's American Mocha Porter kit last April, that I never got round to doing. I was going to do it this weekend, only to discover that the pouch of LME has a tiny hole and leaked, a tiny amount. Will this be a problem? Should I even attempt it, or should I just replace it?

I don't want to "give it a go and see what happens", I don't have the time or space for experiments.

A few years ago I had a similar incident. To be safe I emptied the burst pouch into a pan,rinsed it ,added a couple of litres of water and boiled it for a few minutes. The beer was fine.
