Hi Joe...I did Muntons like 15 years back, it was ok, drinkable but not great. You could play around with the kit, steep a small amount of grains is a bag , a bit of dry hopping stuff like that.
Whilst I don't know this particular kit, the Old Conkerwood Ale I did last year was first class. I have done a few Munton kits over the years and never had any conplaints.
I've just purchased a can of Brewmaker Irish Velvet Dark Stout which I believe is made by Muntons , wasn't what I intended to go for but owner of LHBS said he'd had some very good feedback from customers who had bought it.
I intend to brew it with a 1.5kg tin of Cooper's DME instead of sugar.
