Doing a brew on Friday night which i'm hoping to be drinking on New Years Eve. Fancy a pale ale type of thing. How does this look:
2.4kg Marris Otter
2.4kg Pilsner Malt
100g Carapils
150g Crystal

60 minute mash at 67c.

25g hallertau hersbrucker + 25g Cascade - 60 mins
10g hallertau hersbrucker + 25g Cascade - 10 mins
25g Cascade - at 0 mins.
Protofloc Tablet.
US-05 Yeast at 18c in my brew fridge

Dry hop with 25g of Cascade.

When do you guys think i should do the dry hopping? I've previously dry hopped after 5 days or so and left them there for the rest of the primary fermentation which has given me a couple of slightly cloudy beers!

Cheers for any input chaps!!

looks good and have done similar myself but using different hops

I dry hop after racking into a secondary once the primary fermentation has completing.

Usually dry hop for approx 5-7 days

Yeah I'd rack into secondary also then dry hop for 5 days at 12-14c. Personally I have found that this reduces the hop haze (the cloudiness you speak of) and I get less vegital flavors from the hops by having the short contact time. Then drink it young so you have max flavor/aroma.
