Hello,
I've picked up two second hand plastic firkins but sadly the shives I've got are slightly too large. Given I'm planning on filling it in the next couple of days what's the risk of it popping out when it's conditioning on the way to the weekend?
As they are too large it's obviously snug, tested as watertight and will take the weight of the empty cask OK when I'm holding it by the protruding part but I thought it worth getting some expert knowledge save any issues when some pressure starts to build.
