Hi all

I've just started off a batch of cream ale using a cream yeast blend (White Labs WLP080 Cream Ale Blend Yeast). I'm quite excited it's a yeast I've never used before.

In a few weeks I'll rack off my beer and have yeast left over. I'd like to ferment something else on it rather than waste it.

My question is, what would you try to use on the yeast strain (if not another cream ale)?

(My understanding is that cream ale yeast blend is a mix between lager and ale yeast

Cheers!

Thanks guys, was thinking about an Altbier but I've made a California blonde (as you suggested) before and it was a real crowd pleaser. I'll otherwise follow the same recipe make it a nice little experiment 🙂.

Hopefully I can still get the ingredients before the whole world shuts down!
