The S40 says it can brew 11-41 liters. I would say with any robobrew
you can do 10l batches. I used to do small batches of high gravity beers in mine. I am not sure I understand the need of the top screen filter. I never used the top screen and would just adjust the pump to keep circulation through the mash. Then you can also stir the mash at will.
