Hi all,
I've just found 3 bottles of red wine that I made back in August 2012 (so it's a year and three quarters old). It is bottled in PET bottles and the bottles have 'shrunk' a bit (i.e. the plastic has pulled in a bit and the bottle isn't fully sized).
Is it safe or advisable to drink it?
Cheers

Sup and see. There's argument about whether plastic bottles breathe or not, I don't know if they do don't. Age is a good thing in a wine so I imagine that as long as the plastic bottle hasn't caused any problems it'll be better than when you drank the rest of it.

Well done for keeping it that long! Let us know what it tastes like, was it a kit or did you make it from scratch?

I have always used plastic bottles and as they are air permeable they speed up the ageing process, i would not use them for long term storage (years)
