Can anybody advise please if a tea urn is suitable to use as a boiler?
On ebay the SWAN 26 LITRE TEA URN WATER BOILER BRAND NEW ONLY £60 104 CUPS
looks like good value but I am not sure if it will keep a continual boil.
Thanks for looking

A 40 litre size is much better, the spare head space is well worth having :thumb:

Is a tea urn type suitable then? If so I will look for bigger thanks

I use a Buffalo 40L manual fill boiler which is probably the same as a tea urn. Many others use the same.
Thats great and your guide on how to adapt it is very useful, many thanks

I have a 30l and have done 3 brews in so far. its manageable with 30l but would be easier with a 40l one.

Yup the 40 ltr Buffalo is the one I have as well, tap changed since the piccy, filter fitted and boiler insulated (only insulate the 'tank' section, don't insulate the bottom bit where the heater is)
