It looks like the krausen (spelling?) its supposed to be there at the initial ferment. You need to rack it off into a secondary carbouy which will leave most of that behind. In another 3 weeks (depending on your kit), you should be able to bottle it (which will remove any other sediments....
 
The Kit is one of those 10 day jobbies that is designed to be done all in the same vessel, Think i'll have a go at removing it this evening with a spatula

It looks normal to me and i wouldn't do that unless the instructions tell you to, when you degas it will break it up then when you add the finings it'll settle to the bottom ready for bottling.
