I'm looking at buying a king keg pressure barrel, up to now i've always bottled but i don't see the point anymore since i don't chill my ales or ever take them anywhere.

What are the real pros and cons you have come to learn of the two types of barrel? i've only read the sales pitches.

Thanks.

I have a top tap and have had no problems whatsoever you just need to ensure that the float tube is fitted to the tap adapter before putting the lid on as these can become loose and you will have to lose all the precious gas to remedy the problem after. The tap on mine is very sensitive and only requires the slightest crack open otherwise its a pint of froth so may consider changing to a sparkler tap. all in all a very good barrel
