Just about to start my 1st kit in 20 years, got FV and a kit of Coopers Aussie Lager.

So far warmest place i can find is my airing cupboard but that is upstairs, temp is 19 to 25c
or in kitchen were boiler is 15 minimum i noticed but bit breezy due to ventilation.

Is it advisable to move 40 pints of beer while it is fermenting? and same to bottle?
TIA
Andy

40 gallons??? Thats a big kit, do you mean 40pints?
Its ok to move the entire fv but I wouldnt transfer the beer from one fv into another until primary fermentation has finished.
Ideal temp is 18 -24c and i would got with the area that is less likely to fluctuate.

actually depends on the yeast. I think the yeast in the kit is actually an ale yeast in which case the airing cupboard is best but if you change it for a proper lager yeast it will ferment lower and the kitchen sounds better.

edited lol

just says brewing yeast on labels

was thinking of preparing it in kitchen them moving it upstairs after
and once primary fermentation has finished i could move it to bottle it?

yeah just be careful and dont slosh it about. You want to keep the co2 barrier on top of the beer if possible.
