40 bottles conditioning but not ready yet, so it's Buffalo Trace for me tonight.

Had a euro Pilsner (first kit) which wasn't great, so dry hopped remainder for a week with sterling, very tasty indeed.

I bought those and thought they were OK...the Dark Dunkels
are certainly more flavoursome IMO:thumb:

The one I had last night had no flavour and the head disappeared quickly. I did notice there was a use by date in it and the bottle seemed old.

Have you tried harvesting any of the yeast from them?

Be honest no...Im up to eyeballs in brew at the mo, and the wife doesn't look too happy!

How much oats did you use?

I only did a 10l batch as I'm not a stout drinker (until now). It was 100g. ABV ended up at 5.25% and it's delicious even though it's only been in the bottle for 3 weeks. I may have to brew this again :grin:
