Don’t know. I’m a big fan of their ale yeasts.

I’ve gone for Lallemand Diamond as my first lager yeast.

What is your impression of it?
Not used it yet, bought my next 4 brews worth of ingredients last week but unless I manage to get my hands on a second fridge it’ll probably be the last of the 4.

It’s the GH Mexican Cerveza and the Diamond seemed to be the most “neutral” sounding of the “big 3” manufacturers’ lager yeasts.

They are both nice yeasts. I brew bocks in winter and have used both. They give good results and the expected attenuation without much problems, around 75%.

Good to hear. My usual dry lager yeasts (34/70 and S-189) keep going up in price and aren't that much cheaper than liquid so M J would be a good alternative as they are better priced.

Do people use 2 packs of dry yeast for a standard 23l ferment?

Doing that brings the cost up into liquid territory
I've not used MJ lager yeasts before but have used S-23 and W-34/70 many times, I've only ever used 1 pack per brew and it's been fine. Then again, I ferment warm (18c+), I think 2 packs are recommended for fermenting cooler, at around 10-15C
