A bottle of merlot and a few bourbon and cokes.
Finishing off with port and brandy lol.
My dad invited himself around today and mentioned the bitter I'd made,
Very critical bloke I poured him a glass of Cooper's bitter and explained it needed more time.
He drinks john Smith's and i was expecting a backlash.
He said it was pretty good
He was pished after a few bottles and could hardly stand
I took him home with a fridge full of bottles.
He said he'd enjoyed his afternoon and I'm pleased my home brew helped lol,

Mine too. But with so many beers coming out of kinnegar ATM, I tend to overlook it when I call into Whitehouse. But it's good to know that its now just around the corner from me

My - pfft, whatever it is, basically maris otter with 10% crystal 400 brewed with CML beoir. It's got 43g of fuggles, 8g of target, 30g of ekg, 30g of savrinski goldings and is EKG dry hopped in the keg. Went for 40 IBU.
I went for Muphy and Son's porter water profile so it's got 75ppm sulphate to 335 chloride - and it's smooth to the point of being almost tasteless and like a complete waste of hops. I drank about 8 pints like that, fairly myihhh about it, then stirred in some gypsum in the glass and boom - it's like Banks's bitter and so much better.
Idea was the learn what the crystal 400 would be like and now I can see it backed up with chocolate malt, roasted barley to make something interested - and sod that water profile.
