I put my beer into a fridge I adapted for fermentation , it’s had two weeks which ended yesterday , short version temp has probably been 12-14 c when recipe said 22 c - is this batch failed or can I do something to save it ?

I drew a bit of liquid off and gravity has changed from 1.040 to 1020 , seemed to be sediment /Bits and liquid is cloudy - any ideas ?

Need more info really on what beer, grain bill etc.
If it's a standard ale type it could be just slow due to temp. Can you put it up to 18-20?

yes - I put it up , actually it was I think due to the probe location . It’s an ale , patersbiere , Belgium malt

After 6 days abv is around 1.018 / 7 - , is it worth giving it longer to see if it gets closer to 1.010 ?

I don't know what that style of beer ferments out to but take a reading over the next two days and if it is still 1.018 then it probably won't go any lower and is ready to bottle, good luck and happy brewing.
