I can't speak from direct experience but my mate tried these guys and said it was a false economy: too many short-dated and rubbish beers.

Yodel seem to have misplaced mine (Beer52 say despatched, Yodel say awaiting parcel) which has happened before and part of the reason I cancelled my subscription. I know they'll sort it and hopefullt I will have it in time for the weekend.

You say that, but my son came over last week and brought a box with him. I've only tried the lighter coloured ones- all hazy apart from the lager- and they taste more like fruit salad than beer. An interesting experience, so far, but nothing I'd like to try twice.

They usually list the beers, none usually tickle my fancy and are usually collaboration or beers made just for them

I am subscribed to Beer52, and my box arrived today so thought I’d share the contents.

I have selected only light beers hence the selection.

American wheat beer-4.5%. BB 21/03/23
Pilsner-4.7%. BB 21/03/23
Chinook IPA-5.5%. BB 18/03/23
Hazy Session IPA-4.2%.BB 03/03/23
Pale Ale-4.8%. BB31/03/23
Hazy Pale Ale-5.0%. BB 17/03/23
IPA - 6.5. BB 02/03/23
Mango Pale Ale-4.0%.BB 08/03/23
Session IPA-4.2%. BB 15/02/23
Hazy IPA-6.0%. BB 22/02/23

My biggest gripe is that sometimes you get a box with more higher ABV stuff in than I’d normally buy, and like any beer I try, it’s about 50/50 whether I’d drink again.

I think the shorter shelf life stuff is in the offer boxes rather than the monthly ones.

Sorry should have stated they were most likely short dated but the list of beers seemed good and to be fair I could get through 16 beers in a good weekend and probably will next weekend.

So my beers arrived today so very quick delivery. A good mixture of IPA'S and Pales with one Porter and an Oatmeal Stout. Use by dates range from mid July to September. Out of the 16 beers three have a duplicate and 10 individuals. None of them are of the "brewed for beer 52" variety either. All in all for £19 I'm very happy. Cheers
