Well not actually scrumping.
I bought a box of apples from Leckford Estate, Hampshire. I counted them and I got 100 apples for £6.

I also knocked up a press yesterday afternoon.
I didn't fancy paying £50 for a press so I made this one up for a fiver.

My friend has been doing some work at a house with an orchard and has got a few apples so I expect I'll have enough to make around 3 gallons.

Nice one Varnish. :thumb:

There's a "How to make your own cider press for £5" thread begging to be made here. ;)

I got 2 gallons before the press gave up.
It was on it's third incarnation by the end of the day.
I gave up on the bucket and the screw and used a car jack and a few boards in the end.
That's why you don't build a press for £5.

I'm not holding out much hope for the cider. I'm expecting an infection.

I pitched the juice with SN9 Wine yeast.

14 Bottles of "Come in" Cider (Sorry, my friend named it ) all primed up.

Looked okay, amazingly. I'll find out if it tastes any good at my friends birthday in December.
(And yes. I totally ripped the label off the net and photoshopped it. Badly)
