Hey cider heads, got another awesome brew going! Used a forest fruits cider kit and measured a SG of 1090! Seems to be fermenting well, 3 days and counting, oh baby
 
I brew a lot of my wines from 1.090, be a bit over for a cider surely
 
1090?jesus how much sugar did you add to that, I added the 1.5kg it said (though some was in more apple juice) and struggled to hit over 1050
 
All you do when you add loads of sugar is dilute the delicate flavour of the cider. It may get you p*ssed quicker but I doesn't do anything for the taste.
 
I am doing the same one mate, my sd was 1050 and it's still fermenting after 2 weeks, it's sitting at 1012 tonight and still there is bubbles. will i just leave it to do it's course?
