Hi,

I've made a few wines from juices and have ben suggested to try a wine made from blackcurrent cordial - has anyone gone any tips on this or suggestions?

I've had a look through the internet but there appears to be some confussion about if it's cordial or ready to drink juice.

From what I have gathered I was looking at 1.5 litres of cordial topped up with a carton of grape juice and water boiled out to remove preservatives with yeast and nutrient.

Any thoughts?

Do a search within the winemaking forums for Ribena, show results as topics.

Here, take your pick: >>clicky<<
Try the 6th one down by corby_brewer and ignore the Strawberry part.

Just one very important point - you need the full-sugar tooth-rotting cordials and not the diet-friendly “no added sugar” options.

Thanks - will give it a good go. Nothing about me is diet so should be fine - 30% sugar in the cordial!
