Hi
I was wondering what kind of sugers I can use in brewing? and does using different ones give a different taste especially when sweetening wine :hmm:
I was thinking about back sweetening with glucose to some red wine not sure what the rules are though lol

Next few brews I plan on using enhancers and try proper brewing suger only used normal granulated to date

How do you tell the yeast not to ferment the glucose you add?

You can do that with a wine, but you have to kill the yeasties* first (Campden tablet).

*not a good idea if it's meant to be a sparkling wine

Yep I knew that much, I use the campden tablets and usually some potassium sorbate depends on the wine :)

I'll try using some glucose on a red and a worzels orange I wonder if it will give it a lighter sweet taste :hmm:

or do you guys find that the suger doesn't make a difference
