Hi all.
do you think i can get away with mixing an extract kit in my Fermzilla 35L conical or do you think the initial heat from the hot extract and 4L of boiling water will be to much for it?

Cheers

If your pouring boiling water into your cans to rinse the extract I don't think you can use fermzilla. I recall some people putting them in the dishwasher and them coming out distorted

You shouldn’t be exposing your fermzilla to more than 35degrees c according to the big warnings in the instructions. Sure there is some contingency on that but there is a reason that limitation exists

thanks for the reply's, i will do it in Fermenting Bucket to save any risk
What you can do, and what i do is fill the Fermzilla with approximately 6 litres of cold water first, then use a seperate bucket to mix the extract in, give a good dtir then tip it into the Fermzilla, then obviously top up to your required volume.

I’ve never had any issues this way.
