First of 2014 - Woodfordes Wherry

Well back into the brewing for the first time this year. Woodforde Wherry kit brewed to 20ltrs

OG of 1.055 so hoping it will be between 5.4% - 5.7%

Still have a few bottles of my first 2 kits left, and just starting on my batch of Canadian Blonde

Still learning, and still making the odd mistake! Good fun though, really need some creative ideas for bottle storage (both full and empty)

Looking to purchase another 2 kits to build up a stock for the summer, maybe a cider as well.

What did you add to this kit to be expecting that gravity? :)

Nothing, just brewed it short - instructions say to brew to 23 liters for a gravity of 4.5% I think. (FG if 1.014)

Am I mistaken?

Bottled this today and got the expected 4.5% so happy with that

Almost made a real schoolboy error and forgot to add the priming sugar! Close ca!!

Even managed to get the missies involved in capping - says she doesn't mind! Happy days.
