I'm using a Brother QL-820NWB to print self-adhesive B&W labels. Not really the same visual impact as a larger, full-colour label, but they're quick & easy to knock up, no toner or glue to worry about, and cost about £8 for a roll of 400. On the plus side you can have the printer auto-increment a number field if you want to track each bottle, and I include a QR code that links back to my online brew log.

I do occasionally get a bit more creative and make a full-colour "pump badge" for use on my brew log - all the finished beers are shown in a row and when you mouse-over each one it spins around to show the ABV and how many bottles are left, then you can click the number and it goes down by one.

Haven't found a way of doing that with the labels yet though ... 😉

So I ordered Avery 80mm square labels. They are reasonably cheap but more importantly they are peelable to make them easier to remove. The Avery website has software that allows you to import one label design and it duplicates for the type of label you have purchased. Very impressed I printed with my laser printer and they were very accurate. Labels available in square, oval, rectangle and round.
