I saw Rory was mentioned earlier (Shinkicker) but what about Shadow Play and Follow Me also on Stage Struck?

I also like the more melodic type of solos so : Sugar Mice by Marillion and Only You Can Rock Me by UFO (Strangers in the Night version)

Never heard that one before but I still prefer the bluesy ZZ Top version as I mainly play blues myself.

Not solos but full of riffs - the first Montrose album.

Another favourite album is Metropolis pt2 Scenes from a Memory by Dream Theater. John Petrucci is a monster who can shred with the best but also throw in some prog rock solos.
