Hello all,

I’ve been lurking for a while, picking up some good info and trying my first brew.
I used to do a fair bit of brewing back in the 80’s and had some really good results. Then life, family, kids, job, parents all took over. Now I find myself with more time, a little more cash and I’m starting to get back into it. I’m undergoing a little bit of a culture shock. The basics haven’t changed, malt is still malt, hops are still hops, but I can’t believe the advances in the equipment and quality of products available now. Browsing the online stores, I’m like a kid in a sweet shop.
Interests outside of brewing are trying to jam in as many foreign holidays I can, riding my motorbike, and preferably combining the two. Well, I wanted to ask my first question so intro here and question on the appropriate board.

Cheers

Howdy! Any good recipes from the 80's? Did your taste change much?
Hi ,
The 1780's and 1880's ;) , yes I've concentrated on pre 1970 recipies from defunct brewers.
I'm pretty sure that the Graham Wheeler books have some reasonable recipies from the 80's & 90's in (Brew your own real ale at home) ,
Cheers
Edd
