Should I just warm the brown sugar to keep the flavour in or chuck it in the boil a few minutes before? All hops are added at 90 minutes.
 
Sounds cool. Idiot question number two - I've got some black malt but it looks brown...is that normal? A lot of the websites I've seen have a picture and it's charcoal black, but is that photoshopped or uncrushed?
 
Fermenting now. Nice dark colour so I'm assuming the black malt was quite black. S-04 repitched from a previous beer is making fermentation more active than I've ever seen! Definitely got the mashing bug now too...
