Has anyone out there found a decent type of insulation for a 50L stock pot on a Buffalo Induction hob. I did use a old camping mat but it has shriveled up with the heat.
I am just looking to save a little on power and time to heat up.
Thanks

I use an old yoga matt with silver insulation on one side then wrap a couple of quilted bed rolls round it.
Works well and retains heat during mash after turning gas off without need to turn it back on. I usually start the mash at around 67c to allow for a couple of degrees heat loss after putting the grains in.
