Anybody have experience with this yeast.

Brewed a wheat beer with 50% lager malt & 50% Wheat.
Mashed & 43 degrees for 20mins, then 67 degrees for 40mins & mashed out for 15mins.

OG was 1050.

Chucked in a re-hydrated pack of M20 at 20degrees and fermented at 19degrees.

It took off like a rocket within 12 hours but it seems to have stopped/slowed down at 1020.

Anybody have experience with this yeast crapping out early?

I've done a few with MJ's m20 it doesn't like going much over 5%. I've had 8% with fermentis wb-06 with added raspberry syrup. Maybe add a different yeast to get it down the last few points?

It should be able to ferment to 8% ABV. I brewed a Dunkelweizen of 7,5% ABV with it, without problem.

Agreed, that's what it says on the packet.
In fact I'm looking to do a doppleweisenbock next but they all had at least 2 weeks in the fv and weizens can be drunk young so I didn't wait any longer, besides 5.5% for a weizen is where they usually are which suited me.

But for a doppleweisenbock thats right at the limit of the yeast

Used it a few times with good results, I think it's a good yeast. Used it in a brew on Friday, left at room temp at 19 degrees, checked gravity today (four days on), it's reached final gravity of 1013.
