Has anybody tried the Muntons Gold 40 pint continental pilsner kit. I’m thinking of doing this for my second brew as I’ve now bottled and kegged my first IPA so am thinking of this for my next one as i now have the home brew bug.

Let us know how it goes, looking to brew a lager over Xmas. Does that need brewing at lager temps?

Hi crow, i know it comes with 10g of m54 californian lager yeast which I’ve just read allows a higher fermentation temp of 18-20° So more like an ale temp. Will keep you posted how it progresses.

I did their Pilsner recently, can't remember the exact name, but I thought it was spot on. So much so, I bought it again, along with their IPA 😎

Just started drinking the Munton's Continental Pilsner, bottled 26/11.

Brews at normal beer temps (20C isg) with m54 as you say.

Pleased with it. Early days, most of the bottles will wait a while longer.

All Munton's two can kits are good quality. After that it's just about preference.

If you want something special the Festival Vienna Red is very good IMHO.

Very nice indeed!
