4" screw top fermenter
1 very large funnel
Fittings, 1 custom made
Sealer

Gestimate £35

Does Heath Robinson have a far flung cousin
Better than £200
Like for like you can make your own for around £70 including fittings, if you can collect it, otherwise P+P will add another tenner. When are we going to see it with it's 1st brew in E :P

My very next brew!
I built it because I use a CFC and all the cold break goes into the fermenter.
I've "double dropped" in the past, but thought I would have a play with this.
I also hope it will make yeast harvesting simpler.
+ I like building and experimenting!

A similar thought occured to me. (Glad you've done it first tho, you get any wrinkles to iron out) ;)

Dropped a bollock with my 1st fermenter/funnel combo, fermenter was 2mm too big.
The 2nd fermenter was 10mm smaller so took a lot of sealant and goes at stopping leaks!
I had a friendly "precision engineer" who turned the fitting for the funnel.
Still have to give it the acid test! :D
So no real wrinkles to speak of.

Looks good Evanvine :thumb:
Just a thought, is the lip on the funnel strong enough to hold the weight when its full :wha:

Lol..... How about trying to find a plastic welding kit....... You could go into production and have a sideline that would fund your beer habit

I hear what you say froggi, but this build was for the hell of it, just like my HERMS.
Been brewing too long to make any sense now!
