So, i'd made another thread, showing a tap tower I was interested in:

something like that.

Now whilst I like it, I'm not keen on the taps, and it's £465 which seems alot. But hey! if people are happy to pay that then great. I'd rather have a bash at it myself.

Parts wise it appears I need this:

angel homebrew do a 5/8” to 1/2” connector for £5
https://www.angelhomebrew.co.uk/faucets-and-shanks/399-ss-58-female-to-12-male-adaptor.html1/2” to 2” connector £3.22
https://www.pipedreamfittings.com/product/reducing-bush-black-malleable-iron/elbows £6 each
https://www.pipedreamfittings.com/product/short-bend-90-female-female-black-malleable-iron/Equal t’s £4.27 each
https://www.pipedreamfittings.com/product/tee-black-malleable-iron/Bar plates £10
https://www.pipedreamfittings.com/product/decorative-malleable-iron-floor-flange/200mm length pipe for uprights - £4 each
https://www.pipedreamfittings.com/product/black-mild-steel-tube-pipe-self-colour-threaded/100mm between taps. £3.1 each
https://www.pipedreamfittings.com/product/black-mild-steel-tube-pipe-self-colour-threaded/
£5 x 6 = £30
£3.22 x 6 = £19.32
£6 x 2 = £12
£4.27 x 6 = £25.62
£10 x 1 = £10
£4 x 2 = £8
£3.1 x 7 = £21.7

total = £126.64

might get that down if I shop around though. Need to add taps, tube etc onto that too. So an expensive project perhaps but will give. A great look in the bar

Made my first purchase (and saving) today, instead of the angel home brew connectors, I've bought brass reducers which should allow the shank of the taps to pass through, which is what I really need as I need to fit JG fittings so:
https://www.cef.co.uk/catalogue/pro...Q-Jvj7XM0fO5ewnHIBhoCEfQQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds6 of those plus shipping: £11.82 - saving £18.18. A good start!
ordered all the pipe, £107.69 including VAT and shipping.

So i'm at £119.51 so far, of course need to order taps, shacks, I think i've enough pipe but will check.

Ordered a shank set from malt miller to see how it all is going to go together = £23.49 with shipping
The taps:
https://www.home-brew-online.com/eq...ess-steel-draught-tap-with-flow-control-p3198best price i've seen but out of stock so will have to wait for those.

So all in this should cost:
£107.69
£19.99 * 6 = £119.94
£39.45 * 6 = £236.70

£464.33.....Maybe I should've got the one off ebay........ That being said, I don't want plastic taps, and flow control will be handy and give me loads of flexibility going forward.... and I don't need to buy 6 taps right away.... maybe....

No one tell the wife!!

Thanks for sharing this, always fascinating to see others builds, and costs!

Whenever I like to pretend this is a cheap hobby - while it might be for some - I am reminded that it certainly isn't for me!

indeed, I never seem to be the one who get's to post "picked this up for 50p" lol I'm the idiot next in the line who then give them £50!

I currently want 2 or preferably 3 extra corny, plus one new tap. In an ideal world going by 2019 costs that might be £135 - but this year and last the prices have jumped so I know it won't be that. Ho hum, I better get saving!

I didn't think that was too bad really, have to remember it's cut to size and threaded both ends.
