Ok, so I mix this with vodka to make a raspberry liqueur, but it's also a very nice summer drink when mixed with water instead.

300g frozen raspberrys (from Tesco, or 350g from Sainsburys)
150g sugar
a little water

while frozen, put the raspberrys in a jug and cover with the sugar
when the raspberrys are almost defrosted, stir and mush the raspberrys, add a little water if it's too thick
strain the raspberrys through a sieve using the back of a spoon to squeeze out the juice.

NON ALCOHOLIC VERSION - Now you have the syrup, fill a glass about 1/4 full with the syrup and top up with water

 ALCOHOLIC VERSION  - add the syrup to 250ml - 500ml of vodka depending on how strong you want it

Ta that recipe sounds absolutely magnificent !!!! :D

Just purchased a bottle of the Lowicz Rasperry syrup further to recommendations on here for additions to WOW-type wines, still to use it however, but at 30% pure raspberry juice I would far prefer your recipe and will deffo try it cos I'm worried I'm developing a drinking habit on here with all the alcohol I am brewing  .......
