you can set up your ispindel to be the temperature monitor for brewpiless. I tend to use the brewpiless temp sensor on the outside of the fermenter blutacked and then covered in insulation lowish on the fermenter. But above the heating belt. Then the ispindel provides further temp reading near the surface and I adjust the temperature on the controller to balance the difference. This difference is negligible during active ferment due to wort circulation but once ferment is over stratification does occur.
