2 years on... I'm still brewing 1 gallon DJs in a small cupboard 🤦

Another year on, my picobrewery (one stage down from a nanobrewery) has grown just a little tiny bit 🤏

Currently housing 2L, 4L and 6L batches which at the moment are a cherry saison, a cream ale (w/ rice) and a mosaic pale ale respectively

Well, as I’m in it and looking at this thread it’s be rude not to.

On my right, the fermentation zone. Todays brew is going in the Brewbucket. I’m planning either a pils or a Kolsch in a couple of weeks so I’m keeping the conical free. Grains are in the two black bins. Other stuff in the shelving unit.

On my left, brew in progress, hence the chaos. The small fridge has inkbird/bar heater in place, the big fridge is just for beer storage and lagering FV‘s. In between and out of shot is a Black and Decker workmate that gets used for all sorts on a brew day. It’s next job is to hold the counterflow chiller in a bit.

When we first moved into our house I bought a lovely outdoor cupboard (shed), shiny stainless catering table and got a dedicated supply put outside, then a few months later I sold my 3 vessel kit.

Since getting a G40 I've pretty much brewed indoors as don't want it getting nicked or full of spiders.

Here is the corner of my kitchen which houses my keezer, ferm fridge, G40 and all the other stuff. Probably need some better storage boxes at some point, but they keep everything hidden atm.

10 years ago the non-beer “to do” list included new kitchen and 3 new bathrooms with retirement coming in 8 yrs. My wife supported the construction of a 20*22ft workshop behind our home. Budget garage did the slab, framing, siding and roof. I did wiring (100A 240V), plumbing, and everything else. Those projects got done and in the last 5 years we have evolved the workshop to the Wigglebutts brewery for all the corgis & aussies we have/had…

The brewery cat has finally decided to show up for work, 5 hours late. I’m sure he‘ll let me know later if he’s happy with how it went, in his own special way.

Sorry, but you aren't fully enlightened yet.
Cats always, always, arrive exactly on the time that is appropriate for them.
It is we humans who have unrealistic expectations.
Your photo says it all, really.
"You think?"

I brew in my outdoor bar so it is also technically my brew space and so I thought I’d post a photo of the latest incarnation.
I was bought some personalised beer taps for my birthday but they were a bit too tall and hit the backboard behind them so although I had to make a few adjustments to get them to fit, I’m well pleased with the results.

After years of the fermenter getting in the way for 2 weeks every 6, I finally got around to putting up a shelf and giving it a permanent home
And measured to perfection. If you put another coat of paint on that ceiling you'll need a shorter airlock! 😂
