I'm thinking of using granulated sugar in my fv how much should I use and is it better if I dilute it first?

1kg of brewing sugar

The kit I make regularly ask you to add 3.5kg of table sugar or 4kg of brewing sugar so if you are using table sugar you'll need to add a bit more.
