Hi all,

Can anyone point me in the direction of an online supplier of synthetic corks?

After many years of dealing with leaking natural corks which also love to disintegrate, I've had enough and have decided that (if I can get them) I'm going synthetic.

Anyone know of a supplier?

Agreed, I wouldn't touch the corks they sell in Wilko (which look reminiscent of Swiss cheese) but I've never had a problem with the wax or silicone coated composite ‘Favourite’ corks, or the ones which I usually buy which say “use Harris filters”.

I do have a slight niggle with having to spend 6p for a cork on top of a 40p bottle of wine, that's quite a high percentage mark-up, so I might also be interested in plastic corks if they were any cheaper.
