Hi all trying to get mycornys going this weekend might try the quick way of force carbonation
Set it at 30 psi and gentle rock every 20 min ok ???

Mmm crank and shake in 10 min sounds very tempting I wonder how risky it is

I'm kegging my pressure-fermented Bure Gold today (a first on all three counts) and will be watching this thread with interest since there are many questions in my head. She's been cold-crashing at 10 PSI for a week and an early sample confirms some slight carbonation, but I'd like a bit more and will increase once it's in the keg.

Yep its heart breaking to think u have to wait so long to enjoy a beer
I thought keg co2 and beer no waiting think my impatient self will chance the crank

No risk at all Labrewski as your corny has a PRV (set at well over 3 times the pressure you are using)so it would have to go well above the 30 Psi you are using to set the PRV off also I prefer to not leave my kegs attached to the gas as like some other people I have woke up to no gas as there has been a leak in the system so I no longer leave the gas on ever I just boost it when low to the original serving pressure when needed and turn the gas off again. It depends on how confident you are that your gas pipework is leak proof or like me how paranoid you are about losing all your gas

That's another question once level of carbonation is achieved do u take it off co2 or it constantly need to be kept under pressure
Do u get ideal pressure put it in fridge and drink and then re attach next day carb again ??

You can get it carbed up very quickly if you wanted to.Even though it will be carbed it still needs a while to condition.

One very easy solution to not having to wait.....brew more beer :)

Leave it connected until the keg is empty.

Mmm I have a pb conditioning nearly 3 weeks now I added enough sugar to carb like I would when bottling 120g for 22 liters
But it just has head and no fizz could I quickly carb this one with co2
And get drinking

I’ve done the crank and shake a few times now and it works fine in terms of carbonation. 30PSI, shake, check and repeat as necessary until desired fizz.
I agree that although carbonated it still improves with some conditioning time.
With my last two brews I have put 1.5L into a PET bottle and force carbonated. This allows me to have a few and see what it’s like while the keg conditions.

How do you carb the bottle

I bought one of these from Amazon. The gas disconnect clips on the same as it does on a corny

Stainless Steel Carbonation Cap Counter Pressure Bottle Filling with 5/16" Barb Ball Lock Type CO2 Coupling Carbonate Soda Beer Fruit Juice Water (Carbonation Cap) Amazon.co.uk

Gas up and shake a couple of times and then put the bottle in the fridge to settle for half an hour. As long as you open the cap gently it works fine

I've recently bought one of those for my set-up. I was waiting on the preorder for my corny kit from BKT and bottled a brew about 2 days before it was dispatched so still have no beer in it yet. I have force carbed tap water with the docking method and it works very well. Anyhow, we drink a lot of sparkling water so thought I'd buy one of those bottle tops to try force carbing tap water in empty 2L bottles and it works a treat.
