Im new to AG and i'm doing my first AG brew without maskits tomorrow. Bought malt hops and yeast for a timothy taylor type recipe but i have bought more hops in vacuum packs than i need.

What/how should i store what's left over?

Put them in a zip lock bag and squeeze as much air out as you can. Then put them in a sandwich box in the freezer

I bought a large amount of northern brewer hops (something like 300g) months ago when I first started AG and keeping them in a zip lock bag in the freezer has kept them as fresh as when I first bought them.

If you buy hops for long time use/storage pellets keep longer than leaf. I've read on forums you can keep hops in the freezer for two years

I got it into my head that leaf hops were better for flavour than pellets... i have at least 2 brews left from the hops i have so might try them next time...
