My comment brings a question to mind.
Do 'raw ingredient' home brew beers in general take longer to mature, and then last much longer in good condition than commercial beers?
Particularly if bottled (sanitized bottling, that is).
Discuss.
Meanwhile, that first pint didn't last long.

This was brewed before the previous beer (4.6%).
Noticebly a bit stronger and fuller flavoured at 5.3%.
A full Budvar Budweiser ingredient copy.
Originally I tried casking it with no condition.
Wrong!
Subsequently primed in the cask and bottled.
Much better with natural bubbles. It's crystal clear really, the haze is pouring bubbles, honestly.
There's a full cm of yeast trub in this bottle. No sign of autolysis even though brewed on 11th March '22

I have a story about Bishop's Finger.
A female friend of mine had recently moved to Gillingham and asked at the bar for a half of S/N Special bitter (aka Spitfire) with a bottle of the Bishop's Finger as a top.
The manager initially refused to serve it to her.
She pointed out that she came from Wandsworth and regularly drank Youngs Special with a Winter Warmer top.
He served her whatever she liked after that. 🤣👍
