I don’t often see mild in the shops so bought this (actually a 4-pack) when I saw it in Home Bargains. It isn’t bad but I’m sure I enjoyed my own mild more. This might be the one beer it costs more for me to make than to buy! 😂

My GMC Pale ale….this is one of the best beer recipes I think I’ve ever come up with! Nice level of bitterness and malt coming coming through with lovely fruity hop profile. The smell is just amazing!

This afternoon I need to check the beers I have on tap because we have maybe 30 family coming round. Starting with the Czech lager.

I think I kegged this beer a tad too soon because at first I could detect some off flavours - maybe a touch of acetaldehyde and diacetyl. Whatever those off flavours were, I’m pleased to say the yeast has cleaned up nicely.

Next is the German lager. This has been clean from the start and has less chill haze than the Czech.
