Hi, I need a bigger coolbox. I currently use about 6kg of grain to make a 25 litre brew. My coolbox mashtun is full using this. I'm looking at coleman xtreme 36 qt but not sure exactly how big that is. Anyone used one and would it be big enough for around 9 - 10 kg of grain with about 25 litres of water added ?

Many thanks

36 us quarts is 34ltrs. I've got what I thought was a 33ltr coleman cool box mash tun from the homebrew company (though now they seem to advertise it as 34ltrs) and have managed a brew of 9kg grain and 25ltrs water...and its pretty well full to the top...so probably wouldn't manage 10kg

Many thanks, I'll go for it. 9kg would be fine. :thumb:

I filled the lid with vermiculite and filled the cupholders with pipe insulation which improves the temperature holding ability.
