Hi guys, just bottled 20 L of Wilko Light Golden Lager, adding 500g of brown sugar and 500g of Mustons spray malt. I did half the batch as instructions and half with hop tea ( 25g of Goldings in a cafetière for 30 mins). The result is the first batch good the second with the hop tea adding more flavour, the only problem is the batch with the hop tea is cloudy and the first is Cristal clear. Both batches are very good and would recommend them. Could someone tell me why the hop tea batch is cloudy.

The tea is cloudy because you have dissolved most of the hop solubles, and displaced the oils, plus there are tiny hop particles which have been released. Don't get too concerned, the cloudiness will disappear during conditioning, with the help of time and gravity, along with any residual yeast

Terry, many thanks. P.S. How do you put a photo of a drink, on the forum?
